Masked thief hits nearly two dozen NYC businesses during pandemic
MediaA mask-wearing marauder has been on a regular coronavirus crime spree in the city, burglarizing 21 businesses since mid-March, cops said Wednesday.
The NYPD released video of the person wanted for questioning in a series of break-ins at restaurants and grocery stores in Brooklyn and Queens between March 17 and Sunday.
The crook gained entry into the stores and eateries by throwing a brick into a glass door or window or by damaging a lock, cops said.
The glove-wearing thief has taken liquor, jewelry, electronics, cigarettes and approximately $4,280 in cash from the closed-down businesses.
