A 46-year-old man was slashed on the No. 2 subway train on the Upper West Side of Manhattan early Tuesday morning. The attack occurred around 4:30 a.m. when a 54-year-old suspect slashed the victim's neck, head, left elbow, and shoulder. The victim was taken to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital and is reported to be stable. The police recovered a knife at the scene and arrested the suspect, who did not appear to know the victim.
